Every tour includes a pair of cross-country skis and a narration that teaches you about the Uinta National Forest, wildlife and other areas outside of Park City.
White Pine Touring Center
The White Pine Touring Center will be the most convenient track for you to get to. It is positioned in the heart of the city and provides beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks, so there is something for all skill levels. You have the choice of a 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km loop, all of which are located around the foothills of Park City's mountainsides. You simply cannot beat this track's scenery.
Soldier Hollow
Soldier Hollow was the 2002 winter Olympic training course for both cross-country skiing and the biathlon, so you can imagine how great these trails are. This track resides about 22 miles outside of Park City in the beautiful Wasatch Mountain State Park. This facility provides a variety of tracks that appeal to both beginners and advanced cross-country skiers alike.
Sundance Nordic Resort
The Sundance Nordic Resort is the biggest of the three and provides trails for not only cross-country skiing, but also for snowshoeing. There are wide groomed trails as well as narrower trails, so everyone gets what they prefer. The wooded trails are groomed daily and are immaculate.
This resort is very family friendly as there are trails that suit all skill levels. It is a perfect place to bring the children or to utilize as a date day with a loved one. These trails are designed so you have the option of taking it slow and enjoy a relaxing day of beautiful countryside or push yourself and have a great workout while still enjoying nature.
