Park City's Main Street and Historic District
In its mining prime, over four hundred million dollars worth of silver was dug out of the hills circumventing Park City. The silver boom produced twenty three millionaires, including George Hearst, the father of newspaper tycoon, William Randolph Hearst.
A whopping sixty-four buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and to this day old mine structures still scatter the hillsides. The Park City Historical Museum and Territorial Jail are great places to become habituated with the town's interesting past straight to its modern day reputation for being one of the best winter resort towns starting with the 2002 Winter Olympics.
