The Park City Museum brings visitors from the commencements of Park City, UT through modern day. The exhibits focus primarily on the town’s mining roots, with an interactive exhibit about the Silver King Mine and its routine operations.
The museum traces the town through the lull too, when mining was weakening and it basically became a ghost town. The proposal to break away from the mining tradition and commence a ski resort, ended up preserving the abandoned empty town.
Besides the public exhibits, the Park City Historical Society is responsible for the Hal Compton Research Library. Here people can study historical documents, books, newspapers and artifacts.
